BMB sal hosted its third annual Laserfiche International Conference and Training at the Habtoor Grand Hotel Convention Center & Spa in Beirut, Lebanon on October 12 and 13, 2009, along with Laserfiche staff members from the United States. Business and IT executives from across the Middle East, Europe and Africa gathered for two days of technical training in order to maximize operational efficiency through enterprise content management (ECM).

“Leading companies around the globe are turning to ECM to improve their information management architecture,” said Laserfiche Senior Vice President Chris Wacker. “This educational conference will highlight how Laserfiche increases operational efficiency by providing centralized administration, standards and control while still offering department-level flexibility.”

Last year, the conference was a tremendous achievement, and 2009 was even more successful than ever. More than 150 local and international attendees from Europe, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Region, in addition to BMB’s Value Added Resellers from all over the EMENA region, took part in “Bringing Laserfiche Communities Together” by connecting with each other, as well as with Laserfiche engineers and experts from Lebanon and the United States.

Laserfiche resellers participating in the conference included Integrated Solutions for Business (KSA), Al Zayani Commercial Services (Bahrain), Arabian Computer Supplies (KSA), Computer Information Technologies (Libya), Expert Business Solutions (Kuwait), First Leader Trading (UAE), Global Technology Services (UAE), Guard Solutions (Sudan), Handynet (Algeria), Itqan Technologies (Qatar), Mazroui and Partners (UAE), OFFTEC IT Solutions (Jordan), Solutions Middle East (UAE), Efor Information Technologies (Turkey) and BMB Solutions (Egypt).

The conference’s two full days and four tracks of hands-on labs and product overviews (Track 1: User Focus, Track 2: Advanced Modules Focus, Track 3: IT Focus, Track 4: Product Overview & Best Practices) were packed with so much concentrated knowledge and experience, covering every aspect of all the latest additions to the Laserfiche 8 Document Management Suite, the new Enterprise Content Management (RIO) and the Business Process Management Solution (AVANTE). At the end of the day, the attendees left with all the necessary tools to optimize their business processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs.

During the event, BMB and Laserfiche honored five customers that have demonstrated dedication to excellence, leadership and innovation in implementing Laserfiche solutions: Mobile Interim Company 2 (now known as MTC Lebanon); BankMed, Lebanon; National Transportation Authority, UAE; Ministry of Defense and Aviation Medical Services Department, Saudi Arabia; and Saudi Arabian Airlines.

Each year, the International Conference gets better and better, thanks to the strong international Laserfiche user community. Next year, BMB sal looks forward to welcoming even more international users from Europe, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Region.
